PIP

If you have an existing PIP payment, you should ring 0345 850 3322. This system was introduced in place of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) and the line allows you to notify f a change of details. You can also let them know about changing circumstances that could affect your payment including being admitted to hospital or if your payment worsens.
You can ring the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) at their department for PIP queries for free if you have inclusive minutes on your contract. Otherwise, calls will cost an access charge and per minute fee with mobiles being more expensive than landlines. You can also use the freephone number 0800 121 4433 for free to discuss all PIP matters. The 0843 number comes with a charge of 7p per minute plus an access charge. Lines are open 8-6 weekdays and closed weekends.

If you are unhappy with a decision made by PIP and want to appeal it, you can ring 0345 850 3322. You can also use the number to report bad behaviour or poor care from a social worker appointed to you. If you have been rejected for PIP, then you can ring the number to find out about alternatives. If you need to contact DWP about a new PIP claim, then you can ring the freephone number 0800 917 2222. Here you can also find out about the weekly allowance rate based on your level of mobility and how your disability affects your ability to work. You can also ask for paperwork to be sent to you to complete. The number is also to be used to reschedule an appointment about your PIP payments. If you use a textphone, you should instead call 0800 917 7777, also a freephone number.
You can ring the PIP department from outside the UK by ringing +44 191 218 7766.
