Services

The services offered by London Councils is a little different to other councils.  That’s because it isn’t a direct council but offers services for the whole of London, which is itself broken down into 32 boroughs, each with its own council service.

The Freedom Pass is one of the services that is offered by London Councils.  This is a pass that can be used on most public transport journeys around the capital including bus, tram, Tube, Overground and National Rail.  The website offers information about how to use the pass and any exclusion by the borough. It also provides information about using it outside London and how to apply for it.

London Care Services (LCS) provides services for children and young people who are looked after away from the home.  The service operates across all of the boroughs and also into five partner authorities – Buckinghamshire, Essex, Oxfordshire, Milton-Keynes and Peterborough.

Parking in London is always a hot topic and London Councils operate a number of schemes and help systems.  The Blue Badge is aimed to help with special parking for people with disabilities. Their website provides more information about this.  You can also apply for the health emergency badge for people in the healthcare profession. And you can get information on general parking for the public.
