The Lambeth London Borough Council are the local council responsible for the London Borough of Lambeth. Based in the Lambeth Town Hall in Brixton, the council is one of the 32 divisions of the capital and was first elected in 1964.
Lambeth council is responsible for a wide range of public and business services for people living in the borough. It operates the local schools, transport and rubbish collection as well as being responsible for collecting council tax and business rates for the area.
