Can DVLA sell my details?

The DVLA doesn’t sell drivers details in the typical way.  They can provide information on a driver under a range of circumstances.  These include to the police and local authorities. They can also release information to private or public sector organisations if they can prove they have reasonable cause to have it. Examples of this might be someone who is evading parking tickets and owes money to a private company.

While the DVLA don’t sell your details in these situations, they do charge a fee for the release of information to companies if they can prove they have sufficient reason to have this.  This ensures that the company covers costs rather than the taxpayer.
