Can DVLA pass on my details?
The DVLA have to follow the same data protection rules as any other company or part of the government. But that doesn’t mean they can’t pass on your details. They can give information to the police or local authorities if they have a valid reason to get this information. They can also give it to private or public sector organisations.
They do need to prove a valid reason why they should have this information so there must be a solid reason for the request. If they can prove they have a reason to get the information, the DVLA will provide the details to them at a cost.
